Farmer’s Market Ride Saturday, 7:15 am
This Saturday, February 28, is the birthday of the Downtown Phoenix Farmer’s Market. There will be celebratory festivities happening at the Market, and we’re going to ride on down (and back again). Meet at the Tempe Beach Park entrance at 7:15 for a 7:30 am departure. We’ll maintain a leisurely pace following the usual route (approx. 9 miles one-way). I hope to see you there!
Keep in mind that you can always hop on the light rail if the full ride sounds like too much!
I should be there!
Awesome! Chances are good it’ll be a small group because of the early hour…but that makes things really nice in terms of vehicular traffic.
I should be there (Mill and Washington), but might not I still have some riding left this week see how it goes.
Ben: All right! We’ll try not to blow on past like strangers this time. 🙂
I’ll try my best to make it, but I play a show Friday night, so no promises!
sorry, i over slept!
Oh how I like getting up early for my bike ride.
Hope everyone made back in time I was able to get a tailwind:)!
13 mph from the NE
Myko: sorry we missed you! I’m planning another expedition for March to go up to the Scottsdale farmer’s market–I’ll let you know about that one.
Ben: We had a GREAT ride back–we ended up taking the Grand Canal all the way past Priest and then back up to Washington–no wind along the canal. Sounds like you had a fun ride home. What a great morning to be out.

“Grand Canal”
That is a very interesting center section of town where rather few people have gone. I highly recommend completing the canal if not done already. The contrast between farm fields on one end and industrial/commercial park on the other end is amazing.
Not to mention the 3 hour tour, a 3 hour tour, the weather started getting rough, the cycles would be tossed, if not for the courage of the fearless leader the riders would be lost, the riders would be lost. 🙂
Yea how can you go wrong with a Market Ride? Thanks for sharing and planning this.
i will be down for the scottsdale and well any other ride, things are looking up this year, well better than before. which is nice. more bike rides with friends please! 🙂
