Tempe will host a wide variety of activities to showcase the community’s green side, including:
Market on Mill and Green Scene
Desert Doghouse (Teen Design Competition)
ASU Art Museum (Defining Sustainability exhibit)
Music on Mill
Drinks and Discussion at the following locations:
-La Bocca Pizzeria & Wine Bar – 699 S. Mill Ave.
-Studio 5C – 200 E. Fifth St.
-House of Tricks- 114 E. Seventh St.
-Pho Thang Long – 414 S. Mill Ave.
Valley Art Theater will showcase: No Impact Man

  1. Phx, Tempe, Scottsdale all got screwed on publicity for the GreenStreets events.
    While working the GreenBuild Conf this week, I saw almost no information or advertisements for these events.
    I had to ask repeatedly on Mon, Tues & Wed for printed info (flyers) to show the conference attendees. We did not get them until Thursday. Even then, the majority of the ppl staffing the info booths at the conference had no idea what GreenStrees was, when or where.

    I assume (or guess) there was an issue with the main conference sponsors that may have prohibited GreenBuild/USGBC from actively promoting these events. It’s really a shame the Local USGBC Chapter didn’t do a better job resolving this before hand. It the end, it really appears to have been a bad deal for the Cities (Phx, Scdl, Tempe & Flagstaff) all of which put up $$, staff time & lots of resources to make the Green Street Fests happen – too bad the intended audience never knew
