2020 T.B.A.G. Board of Directors Elections

Hey kids,

Remember when we could get together and vote in new board members? Well this year is going to be, um, a bit different, obviously, for reasons…

On November 15th, 2020 the Tempe Bicycle Action Group will be hosting a Zoom party! So be sure your fridge is full of your favorite beverage and that you have a snack or two on hand to help us vote in the new board. Details on joining the meeting (Zoom link) will be posted on our webpage and FB page

So far we have two candidates nominated and 2 more positions open. If you know someone who could help our organization, or if you could help our organization, please email us the name and an email address so we can reach out to them about serving. [email protected]

Have you had a chance to use some of the new Tempe bicycle facilities? The McClintock underpass and the Western Canal extension were completed earlier this year and we couldn’t be happier.

The city just completed public input on the 15% design stage for the Country Club Way Project (one of the named bike boulevards in Tempe). Also they’ll be adding bike lanes on Rural Road from Curry to Continental during a pavement resurface. And if your familiar with the MAFWA area this traffic mitigation project (video and survey) is very interesting.

There’s still time to get in on some great 2020 Tour de Fat SWAG. Help support your local non-profit, including Bike Saviours, Central Arizona Mountain Bike Patrol, and us, your friendly neighborhood bicycle advocacy group. Simply ‘register’ on the TdF EventBrite page to donate for a license plate or SWAG packet (which includes the patch shown and several New Belgium Brewing stickers).

Thank you and be sure to vote!
