A May 3rd fun(d-raising) bike ride for a local nonprofit: Tour de Paradise

Ride your bike and raise money for a good cause on Saturday May 3rd with rides of 12, 30, or 62 miles. Registration is $40. There’s also a pledge/sponsor a rider component. More information is available here. The ride is a fundraiser for the Beatitudes Center DOAR. They are a worthy cause, and the ride should be great.

  2. Elizabeth at Beatitudes Center DOAR asked me to post this about the Tour de Paradise:

“Beatitudes Center DOAR will hold its Tour de Paradise fund raising bicycle ride on Saturday morning, May 3, 2008. Form a team with your friends, co-workers, and family to support crucial, free services to older adults and caregivers in the greater Phoenix area. There are three scenic routes starting and ending at North Canyon High School in northern Phoenix. Riders may choose from 12 mile, 30 mile and 62 mile (Metric Century) rides. All riders will receive goodie bags, support stops, and lunch. Riders are also eligible to earn great prizes by raising funds. Check out http://www.tourdeparadise.org to register to ride, sponsor a rider or volunteer.”

This is a great organization, and this is the 6th annual Tour de Paradise. I hope that many of you can make it out!
